What is a Mitzvah Campaign?

A Mitzvah Campaign is a personalized fundraiser that lets Bar and Bat Mitzvah students mark their coming of age by supporting the heroes of Israel.

Who can start a Mitzvah Campaign?

Any Bar or Bat Mitzvah-age student (typically 12–13 years old) who wants to celebrate their milestone with purpose. Campaigns can be launched by the parent/guardian.

Is this campaign tax-deductible?

Yes. Worldwide Friends / Israel Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible in the U.S., and donors receive receipts automatically.

Will I know where the money goes?

Yes. You’ll receive real-time tracking, live updates, and full transparency on how every dollar is used.

How do I start a Mitzvah Campaign?

Simply complete the short campaign setup form. You will receive a link to setup your campaign.

Is there a minimum fundraising goal?

We recommend setting a goal of at least $5,000 to make a major difference — but you can set any goal that feels meaningful to you and your community.

What kinds of needs will my funds support?

Your Mitzvah Campaign helps provide BBQs on bases and in the field, offering soldiers a much-needed break, great food, and the encouragement that they are not alone — the entire Jewish people are standing with them.

Can I see photos or videos of the impact my campaign made?

Yes! We share visual updates like photos, videos, and field reports so you can see exactly how your campaign helped strengthen Israel’s defenders.

This Bar/Bat Mitzvah Campaign Partnership Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by BBQ4IDF (“Organization”) and the Mitzvah Honoree & Family (“Partner”) to establish the terms and expectations for participating in the Mitzvah Fundraising Campaign.

This Agreement outlines the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of BBQ4IDF and the Partner in running a Mitzvah fundraising campaign.

Funds raised through this campaign will:
• Support BBQ4IDF’s mission to boost morale and show love to the defenders of Israel.
• Be allocated based on priority needs to maximize impact.

The Partner understands that no administrative fees or restrictions are applied, ensuring resources go directly to mission-driven activity.

2. Campaign Setup & Requirements

To launch the campaign, the Partner must provide:
• Honoree Name – The Bar/Bat Mitzvah honoree’s full name.
• Campaign Name – A unique title for the fundraising effort.
• Campaign Purpose – A brief statement of the honoree’s intended impact.
• Fundraising Goal – The target amount the honoree aims to raise.

3. Donation Management & Tracking
• Dedicated Campaign Page – A personalized fundraising page will be created with a unique link for tracking donations.
• Real-Time Reporting – Donations can be viewed and tracked in real time.
• Fund Allocation – All contributions will be used at BBQ4IDF’s discretion to support mission-critical needs and morale-boosting BBQs for IDF units.

To protect donor privacy and security, the Partner agrees to:
• Keep donor information confidential — Donor names, emails, and reports will only be accessible to authorized personnel.
• Not share access credentials — Tracking links, passwords, and login details must not be shared with unauthorized parties.

• Edits & Updates – Once the campaign is launched, edits cannot be made unless expressly approved by BBQ4IDF.
• Campaign & Donation Links – The Partner will receive official links for sharing and fundraising.

The purpose of this agreement is to ensure all parents/guardians understand that their child’s name, image, and limited personal information may be used online as part of their BBQ4IDF Mitzvah Campaign. Because content may be shared by you, your child, friends, and family across email, text, and social media, this agreement confirms all guardians are fully aware of the fundraising plan before it begins.

We are honored to be part of your child’s meaningful milestone and grateful for your support in helping uplift Israel’s defenders through BBQ4IDF.

The Agreement

1. Acknowledgment of Program and Risks

I, the undersigned Parent/Guardian, understand and acknowledge that my child’s participation in the BBQ4IDF Bar/Bat Mitzvah Fundraising Program (“Program”) involves the use of my child’s name, photos, or other images that may be publicly visible online.

I acknowledge the following:
• Participation is voluntary and at my and my child’s discretion.
• I am solely responsible for the text, updates, photos, and content posted on the campaign page.
• I am responsible for distributing the fundraising links and materials.
• Israel Friends / BBQ4IDF will not distribute, post, or promote the campaign on external marketing channels unless explicitly arranged.

2. Assumption of Risk

I assume all risks associated with my child’s participation in the Program, including digital exposure, online sharing, or misinterpretation of user-generated content.
I understand that BBQ4IDF is not responsible for how third parties may share or interact with the campaign.

3. Release of Liability

In consideration of my child’s participation in the Program, I release and hold harmless Worldwide Friends Foundation / Israel Friends / BBQ4IDF, including its officers, staff, volunteers, and affiliates, from any claims or liabilities arising from participation in the Program, including online engagement, digital content sharing, or related activity.

I grant permission for Israel Friends / BBQ4IDF to use only the images, videos, or content that I provide for the purpose of supporting or displaying my child’s BBQ4IDF fundraising campaign.

I understand:
• These materials will be used only in connection with this fundraising effort.
• I may request cancellation of the campaign at any time.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.

If any section of this Agreement is found unenforceable, all remaining sections shall remain valid and in force.
