What is a Mitzvah Campaign?

A Mitzvah Campaign is a personalized fundraiser that lets Bar and Bat Mitzvah students mark their coming of age by supporting the heroes of Israel. Campaigns raise funds for trauma care, protective gear, and critical aid for those on the front lines.

Who can start a Mitzvah Campaign?

Any Bar or Bat Mitzvah-age student (typically 12–13 years old) who wants to celebrate their milestone with purpose. Campaigns can be launched by the parent/guardian.

Is this campaign tax-deductible?

Yes. Israel Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible in the U.S., and donors receive receipts automatically.

Will I know where the money goes?

Yes. You’ll receive real-time tracking, live updates, and full transparency on how every dollar is used to protect and support Israel’s frontline heroes.

How do I start a Mitzvah Campaign?

Simply complete the short campaign setup form, send us your story and photo, and we’ll build your campaign page for you — fast and easy.

Is there a minimum fundraising goal?

We recommend setting a goal of at least $5,000 to make a major difference — but you can set any goal that feels meaningful to you and your community.

What kinds of needs will my funds support?

Your Mitzvah Campaign could help fund trauma kits, protective gear, PTSD treatment, emergency response vehicles, frontline shelters, and more — wherever the need is greatest at that moment.

Can I see photos or videos of the impact my campaign made?

Yes! We share visual updates like photos, videos, and field reports so you can see exactly how your campaign helped save lives and strengthen Israel’s defenders.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Campaign Partnership Agreement

This Bar/Bat Mitzvah Campaign Partnership Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by Israel Friends (“Organization”) and the Mitzvah Honoree & Family (“Partner”) to establish the terms and conditions for participating in the Mitzvah Fundraising Campaign.

1. Purpose of the Agreement

This Agreement outlines the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of Israel Friends and the Mitzvah Partner in running a fundraising campaign. Funds raised through this campaign will:
• Support Israel Friends’ mission, including critical aid, PTSD support, and cutting-edge technology for Israel.
• Be allocated based on priority needs to maximize impact.

The Partner understands that no administrative fees or restrictions are applied, ensuring resources are directed where they are needed most.

2. Campaign Setup & Requirements

To launch the campaign, the Partner must provide the following:
• Honoree Name – The Bar/Bat Mitzvah honoree’s name.
• Campaign Name – A unique name for the fundraising effort.
• Campaign Purpose – The impact the honoree wishes to make.
• Fundraising Goal – The target amount to be raised.
• Media Assets – A photo or video to personalize the campaign.
• Custom QR Code Request – If needed, a QR code for easy sharing.

3. Donation Management & Tracking
• Dedicated Campaign Page – A personalized fundraising page with a unique link for tracking donations.
• Real-Time Reporting – Donations can be tracked in real-time; for additional details, the Partner may contact the Organization’s finance team.
• Fund Allocation – All contributions will be used at Israel Friends’ discretion to support mission-critical needs.

4. Privacy & Donor Confidentiality

To protect donor privacy and security, the Partner agrees to:
• Keep donor information confidential – Donor names, emails, and reports will only be accessible to authorized personnel.
• Not share access credentials – No sharing of tracking links, passwords, or login details.

5. Campaign Finalization & Resources
• Edits & Updates – Once the campaign is launched, edits are not permitted unless explicitly authorized by Israel Friends.
• Welcome Packet – Upon approval, the Partner will receive:
• Campaign & Donation Links
• A tracking link for donations
• A shareable PDF with QR codes & promotional assets.

6. Acknowledgment & Agreement

Parent/Guardian Liability Waiver and Release Agreement For Participation in Worldwide Friends Foundation, Israel Friends Bar/Bat Mitzvah Fundraising Program(Required)

The goal of this agreement is to recognize that the name, photo / image, and some personal information of a child (minor) are being used over the internet and potentially over social media (by you, your child, their friends, etc.). Given this reality, this agreement is in place to make sure all parents / guardians are aware and understanding of the fundraising plan in advance. Thank you for your support of our work. We are proud to be a part of your child’s meaningful growth moment in our Faith.

The Agreement

This Agreement is made as of _____________(Date) , by and between ________________________ ("Parent /Guardian") on behalf of their minor child_______________ ("Participant") and Worldwide Friends Foundation, Israel Friends ("Organization").

1. Acknowledgment of Program and Risks
I, the undersigned Parent/Guardian, understand and acknowledge that my child’s participation in the The Bar/Bat Mitzvah Fundraising Program (the "Program") involves activities that may include, but are not limited to: use of my child’s name and images made publicly available on the internet, which could involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, property damage, or unforeseen circumstances.
I acknowledge that participation in the Program is entirely voluntary and at my and my child’s own risk. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the text and images used in the Program. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the distribution and posting of fundraising materials and links associated with the Program; Israel Friends will not distribute, post, or advocate any materials associated with the Program via any external marketing channel.

2. Assumption of Risk
I hereby assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my child’s participation in the Program, including those arising from negligence on the part of the Organization, its employees, agents, volunteers, or affiliates.

3. Release of Liability
In consideration of Israel Friends allowing my child to participate in the Program, I, on behalf of myself, my child, and our heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Israel Friends, its officers, employees, agents, volunteers, affiliates, and other participants from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my child’s participation in the Program, including but not limited to claims related to personal injury, property damage, or loss.

4. Photo and Media Release
I grant permission to Israel Friends to make use of my child’s image or likeness during their participation in the Program, provided that I provide these materials. I understand that these images will be used solely in support of my child’s fundraising campaign. I understand that I can request that the campaign be cancelled at any time.

5. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.

6. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

7. Acknowledgment and Understanding
I have carefully read this Liability Waiver and Release Agreement and fully understand its terms. By signing below, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily waiving certain legal rights on behalf of myself and my child.
