Citizen Defenders are lawfully armed civilians in neighborhoods across Israel who train regularly and prepare to protect their communities during emergencies.
They are ordinary citizens with legal personal firearms who are stepping forward as volunteer first responders and preparing to act during the critical first moments of an attack.
We are raising $500,000 to equip Citizen Defenders across Israel. Training is fully funded by local authorities. Your donation supports the critical equipment these teams need.
For every dollar you give, the local authority invests a matching dollar in professional training.
Why This Matters
Since October 7th, communities across Israel have faced a new security reality:
- The IDF focuses primarily on external threats
- Police resources can be stretched during major incidents
- Official Quick-Reaction Teams, known as Kitot Konenut, are limited in size, particularly in larger cities
In many urban areas, existing Quick-Reaction Teams operate with limited personnel relative to the populations they protect.
Citizen Defender teams are designed to respond rapidly and provide immediate protection until police or security forces arrive.
