Who We Are

Israel Friends operates with an entrepreneurial spirit, combining innovative technology and logistical expertise to respond rapidly and effectively to national crises. We work hand-in-hand with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, National Police Department, National Fire Department, leading Commando Units, Parliment (Knesset), and other national authorities. These collaborations generate an open-door policy for our team to interface with military units or government officials – thereby allowing Israel Friends to solve the country’s most critical problems.

What We Do

Procure and deliver critical new technologies: From hostage rescue equipment and advanced drones (e.g., Thermal, House-to-House) to state-of-the-art defense systems, we have equipped elite undercover units and soldiers alike with the tools to complete missions and stay safe.

Build new, life-saving technologies: We’ve created solutions to quickly address needs and provide systems for soldiers operating in high-risk environments, including a camera surveillance (e.g., “nest” system) and 3D printing lab to rapidly produce over 50+ types of essential products.

Increase access and speed of trauma care nationwide: Managing Israel’s #1 telehealth platform, we’ve delivered free psychiatric care to those in need, helping soldiers and civilians receive immediate treatment (3-5 days vs. 200+ days within the HMOs) to cope with the psychological toll of the conflict.

How We Are Different

Israel Friends stands out as it is a non-profit founded by supply chain logistics entrepreneurs. This unique for-profit experience shapes our approach, setting us apart in several key ways:

  • Efficient Operations: We maintain a lean team to minimize administrative costs, ensuring that the majority of funds go directly to our initiatives (< 5% in 2024).
  • Driven by Impact: Founded by entrepreneurs, Israel Friends is committed to overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and prioritizing real, measurable impact over legacy processes.
  • Collaboration over Competition: We work with various non-profits, focusing on identifying opportunities to maximize life-saving efforts, rather than competing. Our primary goal is to address critical crisis gaps.
  • High-impact, Cost-effective Projects: We prioritize projects that deliver measurable results, both in terms of cost per outcome and time invested. We pivot to where we’re needed most. As others took on helmets and drones, Israel Friends shifted focus to counter-tunnel technologies to drive greater impact.
